About PCWC
Providence County Wrestling Club (PCWC) is a Rhode Island-based nonprofit youth development organization dedicated to empowering children and families through wrestling, education, mentorship, and community engagement. Founded in 2014, PCWC provides safe, structured, and inclusive programs that use athletics as a vehicle to build character, leadership, academic achievement, and lifelong success.
Serving youth from diverse backgrounds throughout Rhode Island, PCWC offers year-round wrestling instruction, after-school and out-of-school-time (OST) programming, academic support, nutrition education, and social-emotional learning. The organization emphasizes discipline, respect, accountability, perseverance, and teamwork while helping young people develop confidence both on and off the mat.
Beyond local programming, PCWC has become a recognized leader in wrestling development. The organization has played a significant role in expanding the sport internationally by assisting in the development of wrestling associations throughout Cabo Verde and supporting the establishment of the country's national wrestling federation and Olympic wrestling program.
PCWC partners with schools, municipalities, community organizations, and national governing bodies to provide high-quality athletic and educational opportunities. Through these partnerships, the organization continues to create pathways for youth to succeed academically, athletically, and professionally while strengthening communities through positive mentorship and leadership.
